Collection Counters

🧮 Collection Counters Ministry

Each week, the faithful generosity of our parish community is gathered—and ensuring that it’s stewarded responsibly is a vital part of our mission. Our Collection Counters serve in quiet, behind-the-scenes dedication to that purpose.

šŸ™Œ Who They Are

Collection Counters work in teams of two or three to count and securely deposit the Sunday offering. Often, those with experience in banking, accounting, or financial services find this to be a meaningful way to apply their skills in service to the parish.

šŸ›”ļø Training & Screening

Recognizing the sensitive nature of this ministry, each Collection Counter undergoes high-risk level screening and training, aligned with Diocesan Policies for financial stewardship and privacy. These measures ensure our continued trust and transparency.

šŸ•°ļø Time Commitment

With multiple teams rotating throughout the month, the time commitment averages once per month—a small ask with a big impact. As in other ministries within the parish, collection counters undergo training and undergo high-risk level screening. They are required to adhere to Diocesan Policies established for the handling of money.

The time commitment is determined based on the number of counting teams. Currently, the commitment is, on average, once per month.
