📋 Ways and Means of Support

1. Offering Envelopes

Offering envelopes are used by many registered parishioners who wish to receive an annual tax receipt. New envelopes are issued in late fall for the following year. Parishioners can donate to regular, special, and Diocesan collections through these envelopes.

2. “Donate Now” Button

Using the “Donate Now” button on our website is a convenient option for occasional or regular donations. These are processed through CanadaHelps and received via credit card. All donations made through this button go directly to our parish. Tax receipts are issued by CanadaHelps.

3. Pre-Authorized Debiting

This is one of the most efficient ways to donate. Parishioners may contribute to regular and special collections using this method. Forms are available in the main entrance of the church.
Simply follow the instructions on the form, indicating your donation amount and frequency.
Special collections are debited on the first working day after their designated Sunday. Tax receipts are issued in January.

Pre-authorized debiting provides reliable and consistent support—even when parishioners are away or unable to attend Mass. Contributions can be adjusted or canceled with short notice.

Users of PAD who wish to put something into the collection basket are welcome to use a blank pink visitors envelope and place it in the collection plate. These are available in the main entrance of the church.

4. TipTap Devices

The parish recognizes that many people today don’t carry physical cash as frequently as they once did. To accommodate this shift, we have introduced TipTap devices, which are contactless payment terminals that allow parishioners and visitors to tap their credit or debit cards to make donations.

These devices allow users to tap their credit or debit card for a set amount ($5, $10, or $20).
While tax receipts are not typically issued for these donations please contact our office if you’d like to inquire about receiving one. The service we use is looking to introduce tax receipting in Canada this fall.

These devices are now installed in the main entrance of the church on a stand. To donate, simply tap your credit card, debit card or other payment method on the device (or a combination of devices) displaying the amount you wish to donate. One beep will sound to indicate the card has been read, and another beep will follow to indicate the payment has been made. Two beeps after the initial beep suggest there was a problem, and the user should tap again or use a different card. Three beeps mean the card was declined.

These devices are secure and convenient. No receipt is issued for the donation. Your bank or credit card statement will indicate a donation to Holy Rosary Church.

5. Credit or Debit Card Payments

Parishioners can now make donations and payments (e.g., for sacramental preparation fees, hall rentals, insurance, and Mass stipends) using credit or debit cards—either in person or over the phone.

We hope these convenient methods make it easier for parishioners who prefer modern and convenient donation options.
