St. Vincent de Paul Society
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul – Holy Rosary Conference is a community of volunteers dedicated to living the Gospel message by serving Christ in those who are experiencing poverty or hardship.
We strive to offer love, respect, justice and joy through practical assistance and compassionate friendship, helping to improve the quality of life for individuals and families in our community.

Our goal is to help provide a better quality of life for those who are less fortunate in our community.
How We Serve
Working in pairs, Vincentians visit neighbours in their homes to listen to their stories, understand their circumstances, and build relationships based on dignity, trust, and respect. Every situation is unique, and we work alongside each person to determine how we can best help.
- Grocery gift cards and assistance with household essentials
- Supplemental food and supplies from our parish pantry
- Information about, and referrals to, other community support agencies throughout Halton Region
- Occasional assistance with emergency expenses such as rent or utility bills
- Scholarships through the Ozanam Education Fund to assist students pursuing college or university
- Assistance registering eligible children for the Canada Learning Bond
- Back-to-School gift cards each September
- Christmas assistance, including support for meals and gifts in partnership with The Salvation Army
- Opportunities to sponsor families during the Christmas season
Above all, we seek not simply to provide assistance, but to offer hope, encouragement, and friendship.
How You Can Help
- Become a Vincentian, making on-call home visits with another volunteer for approximately one week at a time on a rotating schedule (usually, once every six weeks).
- Assist with our parish food pantry.
- Support special projects, including the Back-to-School Drive and Christmas outreach.
- Donate food, gift cards, or financial contributions.
- Join us at one of our monthly meetings to pray together and learn more.
- Spread the word so that neighbours in need know where to turn.
Donations
Financial donations enable us to respond quickly to local needs throughout the year.
Donations through CanadaHelps receive official tax receipts. Cheques payable to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul – Holy Rosary Conference and eligible gift card donations are receipted by the Society.
